JOY MIURA KOERTE

Joy Miura Koerte is a fifth generation Kauai resident. Koerte graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor's degree in public relations and an emphasis in business. She has worked in both in-house and agency public relations including Kauai Electric and Brown & Dutch PR. Koerte also worked for the Job Training Program Act's Summer Youth Program at Kauai Community College and had her own public relations firm, Joy K. Miura Public Relations, which served clients such as Kauai Power Partners and the Kapaa Business Association. Koerte is a member of the Kauai Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors and Events and Activities Committee (Chair), the Zonta Club of Kauai Foundation's Board of Directors, Lihue Christian Church's Board of Trustees (Secretary), the Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Kauai Community College's Spring Gourmet Gala Planning Committee, and the Zonta Club of Kauai.
